Kenya Mission Newsletter

Merry Christmas..... We have GREAT news!!!  We have reached 100% of our needed pledges to be deployed to Kenya!!!  We thank God for His faithfulness and for you believing in us!!  Our sending agency, The Mission Society, has given us their blessing and we are in the final preparations to begin leaving the US.  We are currently living with Angie and Robert Bliss and going through the items that will fill our 9 suitcases to go Kenya.  We will be getting our immunizations next week (quite a gift to ourselves - ha-ha) and purchasing our last-minute items to take with us to Kenya.  Our ministry partner, Pastor Simon Mwaura is preparing for our arrival in January and seeking a host family to receive us and a Swahili language teacher.  We are excited that God has lead us to this point in our journey and honored to be sharing our Walk with you.  We would love to celebrate our departure with you............join us for our Send-off Celebration. " Jim Elliot Gilly's View I can’t wait for Kenya!!!  Going to Kenya will be like two Christmases in one year.  It will be great to finally be on the plane. I just want to scream out to the Lord and say thank You. I also want to thank all of our supporters and prayer warriors. I hope you know how much we appreciate you guys. I want to especially say thank you to Mr. Robert and Mrs. Angie because they are letting us stay at their house for this month and on future furloughs. I want to thank the Fletchers for taking care of Molly. I love Molly, she is the best dog ever. She is so sweet. I know Jordan is taking good care of her. We are actually talking about getting a friend for Molly once we are in Kenya. It’s going to be a German Shepherd. I want his name to be Eco or maybe Salno. I can’t wait to get him. -Gilly
